Why would Jesus not want people to talk about the marvelous things he did? Why would he not want people to acknowledge him as Messiah?

The worldview of the Bible, and people who believe the Bible, has made modern science possible.

No sentient adult today with a straight face can say that we are more intelligent, more just, more peaceful, more joyful now than before.

God raises the face (e.g. shows recognition to) of any who come to him in love, respect, and worship.

Do non-believers sometimes spot God in places where the faithful miss Him?

And that same Jesus, in whom the fullness of God is still pleased to dwell, touches earth with heaven every day.

How did people find out that Jesus was the Messiah? One saw, and told another, “Come and see”.

How? All of them had been looking, talking, thinking, praying, studying, and wondering – about the redemption of Israel for a long time.

John the Baptist did not make modest claims about Jesus.

If we do not see Jesus, the likeliest reason is that we are hiding, or asking the wrong questions, or looking in the wrong place.

The words that Mary treasured and pondered in her heart are those that might be the healing that believers know them to be.
