The Devil believes that God exists. The Devil believes that Jesus exists. The Devil believes that Jesus can do everything He says He can do. That’s where the faith of a lot of people stops, which means they don’t believe any more than the Devil does.

Many churches and denominations today are disintegrating because theyhave abandoned the thought world of the Bible.

Christians are to be the people who are odd because of Jesus. Christians are to be the people who have saints on their calendars and beads in their pockets. Christians are to be the people who have Bibles on their coffee tables instead of coasters, and who never make plans for Sundays that don’t include Mass. Christians are to be the people who know the truth that makes them odd even while it makes them free.

The devil is very happy for people to be as wealthy, powerful, and smart as they want to be. He doesn’t know any of their names. He doesn’t have to. They are no danger to him. If the devil knows who you are, that can only be because Jesus is alive in you, because you have invited Him, because you have received Him in His fullness at every Mass.

But it isn’t Christian people who save. It isn’t the Church that saves. The Church and Christian people are not “the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” Jesus does. Jesus is. What do you say about Him? Jesus is the one that matters.

The purpose of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is ongoing conversion, the power of God to make us worthy of the promises of Christ, and witnesses to the ends of the earth. All believers can get behind that.

Separate what must never be separated, and chaos follows.

Being absorbed into the inner life of God does not mean we disappear. Quite the opposite, it makes us more apparent to the world.

In our lives there is much routine, but most people understand that it is very important that they do the routine things well.

Non-believers think that anyone who is a “basically good person” will certainly be admitted to heaven, regardless of belief in Jesus.

Some say “I don’t need faith in God to live a good life” but what they should be thinking about is "why is there goodness at all?"

Some things are so hard to do that it takes three generations to make people strong enough to do them.

Every evil deed begins with an evil thought. Every joyful deed begins with a joyful thought. Feed the right thoughts the right stuff.

So go to a place where you are likely to find Jesus, and wait.

We need someone who says every day, prays every day: “My faith is not my own. Someone else needs it.”
